Data Analyst – Data Transition

This role focuses on analysing and translating data between legacy and future-state systems, rather than reporting or dashboarding. You’ll work at the intersection of business, data, and technology, ensuring data is accurate, aligned, and fit for purpose throughout the transition.
  • Analyse and compare current-state and future-state data.
  • Map data between legacy and target systems.
  • Identify gaps, risks, and data quality issues.
  • Validate future-state data against business and regulatory needs.
  • Work closely with business, data engineering, and architecture teams.
  • Document data mappings, transformations, and findings.
  • Support testing during system migration and decommissioning.

Requirements

  • Strong background as a Data Analyst in complex data environments.
  • Advanced SQL skills (including translating logic from tools such as SAS).
  • Experience with legacy system migration or SAS decommissioning.
  • Proven data mapping and gap analysis experience.
  • Financial services background (insurance preferred).
  • Strong analytical skills and clear communication.
